A friend of mine recently bought a 2021 W205 C300 4Matic facelift and the car has a weird issue with the Easy Entry-Exit feature (the feature that moves the steering wheel forward and the seat back when the car is turned off after a drive). This feature is available in the head unit, but when you try to select any of the options to turn it on, it immediately switches to the off state. A quick scan with Xentry shows an error for this module: "Easy Entry-Exit function unavailable; function is restricted."

Why might this feature be restricted? Any thoughts on how to fix this and return it to an unrestricted state?

Seat and steering wheel adjustments work perfectly, without errors. We also performed seat normalization via Xentry, but there was no effect.

Attached is a demonstration video.

What version of Xentry are you using? What interface are you using?

One of the components used for Easy Entry is faulty or out of calibration. Check other ECUs involved.

Update! Just fixed this. Nothing was broken, just needed to re-activate the feature after a crash. We did this with Xentry by going into the error monitor and clicking on the wrench that says "Tests". Then followed the steps to re-activate. Now everything works great.
