This error is a bad project file. I got the same error a few days ago when I was doing a high beam assist with the same headlight as you.
After I used the new project file, I was able to write coding.
This error I think means that the coding of the project files is not compatible with the firmware in the ECU. Just use a newer file.
I used the DTS Monaco database from here. I use the PKW_SMRD_XXX projects because these projects contain all the ECU files for a specific car.
However, I got the same error as you. I checked the project files and they were much older than the files in the BR_213 project.
So I just copied all the BR_XXX project files to the PWK_SMRD_XXX project and thus updated all the project files. Then I connected to the car and used this updated project and everything worked like a charm. XXX = your car number.
Also, I read that if you turn on automatic high beams and you still have to turn the high beams to the "ON" position every time you start the car, then it means the firmware needs to be updated.
My car has the latest firmware version installed. So, by turning on the high beam assist function, I automatically see a big "A" when it gets dark.
