Which Laptop Works with the Latest XENTRY?

My understanding is that to use DAS/Xentry you will need a specific brand of laptop or tablet. Is this true for the latest releases?
Or can I buy any laptop that fits my budget?

Hello, I'm using Thinkpad T440p successfully.

The big advantage is that almost everything in this laptop can be replaced:

• Processor (eg I7-4810MQ)
• Memory (two SO-DIMM DDR3 RAM up to 32GB)
• SSD/HDD (2.5" SATA)
• CD/DVD-ROM (optional, you can install a second 2.5" SATA drive)

You have extra space for a 42mm M2 SATA SSD.

Of course, newer laptops have better/faster/more power efficient processors, NVMe SSDs, etc. But I love my T440p.

I use a ThinkPad X13 gen 2. Very light, slim, durable and with good battery life. USB-C charging is also great.

Buy a fast and large (1TB) NVMe drive. Split it up so you can install multiple Windows on it, use multiboot. This is a good way to store different versions without virtualization, and you can also clone a running installation to test updates and so on.

Lenovo X230. This is a good option for using the C4 wireless connection, 4th gen processors don't seem to be able to enable VLAN for the C4 wireless connection.

My Xentry works fine on Lenovo x270 I7 - 7200U with 16GB RAM. I have good software and I can share it if anyone needs it (for free, of course).
