Has anyone repaired these clusters before? Using ODIS-E? Or by physically repairing individual components?
I have B200049 and all the control lights on the dashboard are on.
I can't find the firmware file for it 4M0920790B.

These errors are usually caused by software issues. The VC flash memory needs to be read and tested. Using ODIS-E will not resolve the issue. VC firmware is difficult to find, and updating is easier using SVM and ODIS-S.

Thanks, I couldn't find a suitable SVM for my VIN and it looks like it will only be possible via SD card?
Is reading and testing flash memory a separate specialty?

I switched to development mode in ODIS-E and then tried to clean the code again and was successful.
So far, the car has not malfunctioned again.
When this happens I will try updating the software or maybe a new cluster will be needed.

I had a very similar case a few weeks ago. The instrument cluster was sent in for repair and came back with error B2000096 "Faulty Control Module". I went into ODIS-E, Cluster, Diagnostic Session, Development Mode, and was able to reset the error code. The car is working fine now.

The car on which I reset it in the same way has still not returned.
