Other tutorials only include the steps marked in red (see my picture below). Why did you add other steps?
They also suggest using "Set ECU to Delivery State" instead of "Reset Automatic Initial Alignment Start" in DTS Monaco. Is there a reason for this difference?
Finally, to reset FCW177 in Xentry, the manuals mention that it should be done under "Collision Prevention" but I only see "Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC (DTR)". I'm trying to figure out why "Collision Prevention" isn't showing up in my Xentry. Or is it possible to reset FCW177 in "Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC (DTR)" using Xentry?
Just wanted to share that I found answers to my questions in the previous post.
The other steps mentioned are intended to replace the Speed Limit Assist with a Traffic Sign Assist, which includes Adaptive Speed - so that the car can automatically adjust its speed depending on the road signs it recognizes.
Running the "Reset Automatic Initial Alignment Start" function in DTS Monaco did not help me turn on Distronic Pro. Instead you need to use "Set ECU to Delivery Start" on FCW177 module - this is the correct activation method. This will reset the module and set all parameters to default values.
Finally, when resetting FCW177 in Xentry, it does not matter whether you do it in the "Collision Prevention" or "Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC (DTR)" section. The difference in wording in the manuals is likely due to differences between versions of Xentry.
