ME9.7 how to make a used ECU virgin

CGDI will be able to reset the block, but will not change the VIN number.
The VIN number can be easily changed using Vediamo or DAS with the engineering menu.

I have the same question. Bought a Chinese ME 9.7 (I know it's not the same, I ordered used but still wanted to check this one) and tried to set it up with DAS but it said personalization failed. I think it's because the VIN is 0000000000000000000. What should I do?

I also recommend you to use VVDI Xhorse because it is very easy. Read, load, get the password to delete, then write the VIN number.

I do it with Autel IM608 easily, it gives you wiring to connect to ECU and you have to be online to get erase password. After virginity the Personalization and Activation fields will show NO, otherwise it is not virgin yet.
