Could the PCV valve on the N57 be the cause of blue smoke from the exhaust pipe during cold start and quite high oil consumption (about 1 liter per 1000 km)?
The PCV valve may be the cause of your problem. What is the mileage on your car and has the PCV valve been changed before?
Blue smoke can be caused by, for example, the turbocharger, valve stem seals, piston rings.
When the PVC valve is clogged, excess pressure is created in the engine block. This causes oil to be pushed along the cylinder wall into the combustion chamber. And also along the valve guides.
I had a similar problem with the PCV on my Mercedes. The construction is the same as the N57 engine. The rubber seal was broken, causing oil consumption. Have you checked the area around the PCV, is there any oil visible?
