In theory, it should work like this: you unlock the instrument cluster using two seed keys, save the customization, and then execute these lines of code. But in practice, there is something wrong with these lines - either I’ve missed something, or I’m doing something incorrectly. After executing the commands, the mileage data appears to have been deleted (displaying 0 km). However, upon installation in the vehicle, the instrument cluster shows " symbols instead of the mileage value. This indicates that the RT_Kombi_einlernen_Start command needs to be executed via Vediamo, but this is where the problem arises. The command fails to launch and returns the error. RT_Kombi_einlernen_Start - failed to start. I haven't had time to revisit this issue lately, but I will get back to it as soon as I find a solution. I would appreciate any help. If anyone is willing to share a working solution, I am prepared to pay for that information. The instrument cluster can be unlocked for both trim levels, this has been discussed here before and desoldering the EEPROM chip was not required. I used a C4, but Openport 2.0 and any J2534-compliant interface used with the Vediamo software can also handle the task. DTS Monaco is another option, though I found Vediamo more convenient since I already had it installed. There is also a faster and more reliable way to perform this procedure using AVDI or CGDI tools, but I do not have them.
