W166 ML350 Small Lamp Power Supply

I want to get power for the W166 ML350 small lamps from the front of the car. Where is the best place to get it? I want the aftermarket front grille star to light up.

You have a fuse box in the engine compartment. Numbers 229 and 231 are for the headlights.
Since I don't like messing with cables, I use a fused adapter to get controlled 12V+ voltage like this one.

In short, find out how to encode side markers, it will be similar to the coding of US and EU lamps, then when activated, go to WIS, check the wiring diagrams and find the wires from the pin responsible for the side marker in your SAM. Plug in, do the proper wiring and enjoy your new gadget. At least I would try to do it that way.
