W166 ML350 Small Lamp Power Supply

I want to connect small lights to the front of the car W166 ML350. Where is the best place to get it? I want the star on the front grille to glow.

You have a fuse box in the engine bay. Numbers 229 and 231 are for the headlights.
Since I don't like messing with cables, I use a fused adapter to get controlled 12V+ voltage like this one.

You can code the side markers and use the pin from the front SAM.

In short, learn how to code the side marker lights, it will be similar to the US and EU light codes, then once activated, go to WIS, check the wiring diagrams and find the wires from the pin responsible for the side marker lights in your SAM. Plug it in, connect it correctly and enjoy your new gadget. At least, that's how I would try to do it.
