I have a pre-facelift W205 with Distronic, Xentry reports that the Distronic B92 control unit is DTR222. Xentry can see the Distronic control unit and its calibration data. However, Vediamo and DTS Monaco can use rapid testing and diagnostic services to report and troubleshoot faults, but they do not see domains with variant coding, so they do not see any coding. Tried two different versions of SMR-D files.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to read the coding variant of this control unit?

Try unlocking the block first. In Vediamo (and also in DTS Monaco) there should be a "DiagnosticJob" named "Steuergerät entriegeln" below in the control unit tree.
You may need to set a higher security level in the Monaco in the control unit. Find it on the left side of the Monaco by clicking on the desired control unit.

It was found that there is no variant coding for the Distronic DTR222 control unit. It connects directly to the Radar Control Unit (RDU222) via Flexray. Calibration data etc. can only be requested from the Distronic unit.

The Distronic unit is the last unit in the Flexray network, so it has a 100 Ohm resistor. If the resistance is out of range, it will disconnect the Radar unit from the Flexray network.

That's right. The end blocks have a resistance of 102 Ohm, the pass-through units have a resistance of 2.4 kOhm. Flexray operates in a "star" scheme, unlike CAN. If there is a break, the entire branch does not work. To check, you only need a multimeter.
