BMW K+DCAN Cable and Firmware Update

I use K+DCAN OBD cable. I assume there will be a firmware update available for these cables that will improve the quality of the cable connection etc.
Have you ever done anything like this? How is this even possible?

I haven't done this but this site shows how to do it but it depends on what K+DCAN cable you have.

For example, a more stable connection. It is recommended to flash the controller with a cable connection. I do not know if this can be done with the Bluetooth version.

Always flash your controller using a cable. This is the safest option.

I tried this instruction for the above mentioned cable but not sure if it worked.
Just in case, I ordered this cable.

You can update your cable's firmware using this GitHub library, it's compatible with most of the "best" K+DCAN cables. You may want to backup your cable's firmware before installing, just to be sure.
