BMW K+DCAN Cable and Firmware Update

I use K+DCAN OBD cable. I assume there will be a firmware update available for these cables that will improve the quality of the cable connection etc.
Have you ever done anything like this? How is this even possible?

Always flash your controller using a cable. This is the safest option.

And if possible, connect the charger to the battery.

Always flash your BMW with a good charger (over 100A). Diagnostics and programming consume a lot of power and can kill the battery during the flashing process. I got battery damage from the dealer (bad mechanic) during diagnostic service.
