Since I'm new here, can you explain in detail how the CID verification works. All I know at this point is that if I have an SD card in my car, it can't be used for another one. Is there any trick or how to avoid this? As I see, there is a link to download the latest version of NTG5 navigation. I think there is some magic here (I'm not available for download yet, maybe there are some instructions in the download file).

The CID is the unique ID of the SD card, and the map files on the SD card are tied to this CID value.
However, there are some SD cards with a backdoor where you can write your own CID value ( https://github.com/raburton/evoplus_cid ).
So you get an SD card that you can write your custom CID to and then write the custom CID value (included in the download) to that card and then copy the maps to a new card and you can use it in your car.
