I bought TabScan T6 Xentry. I wanted to check if all the advertised features of the iOS app would work at least on my car. I also wanted to check how fast and stable the MUX would be compared to the VCI C6 clone with Xentry, Vediamo and DTS Monaco.

For the C6 clone and TabScan I used Dell 5300 with I7 8665U, 32GB RAM, 500GB NVMe SSD, Xentry 09.2023, Vediamo 05.01.01, DTS Monaco 8.16, Windows 11 Pro.

For the C6 I installed the latest 1.0.0.5 drivers on one laptop, and for TabScan I installed the latest "TabScan PC Management Tool" on the other laptop. This ensures that the drivers are installed correctly and all the necessary files are downloaded automatically. This is a big advantage of the C6 clone, as I had to contact the seller to get the correct drivers. But in the end, everything was fine.

Both the C6 clone and the TabScan T6 will be detected in Vediamo and DTS Monaco as an eCOM device, with Xentry you don't need to configure anything in the VCI Manager or in the system settings, they are both well configured and after installing the drivers and rebooting they are ready to use.

I started with the C6 clone, doing the usual EIS222 and IC222 bench testing. Interestingly, the C6 took a little longer to gather all the necessary information about the car, after which the quick test began. The T6 was a little quicker.

To confirm my impressions, I ran a quick test on my S205 2017. Both were reliable and fast, but the T6 was again faster at running the quick test and clearing error codes.

In Vediamo both were about the same, I think it's because of Vediamo and the old system architecture. But in DTS Monaco the T6 surprised me again because everything happened much faster than with the C6. Switching from one menu item to another or changing VCDs is much faster. Wow... I sent some videos to the guy with the VXDIAG SE and he was amazed at the incredible speed of the T6.

By the way, both devices, C6 and T6, can be used via WiFi. I accidentally did this with T6, and it worked stable and smoothly. I usually use a cable connection because I want to avoid errors due to slow WiFi or other problems when using WiFi. But this device is very stable.

Both devices worked great in Xentry and all other programs. If anyone wants to see the device in action, just message me, I can send you a video and you will see how fast the T6 is. I may also have some C6 videos, but I sold my C6 kit a few days ago.

Thanks for reading! I'll also look at other features of the TabScan T6 and tell you how they work.

I have never tried to use it with HHT. Maybe there are other users who have already done it.
I used TabScan with DAS car (but only inside Xentry) and everything was fine. I don't know if it can work with older versions and outside Xentry.

Just write to the manufacturer.
Since there are no cables for the HHT, it will not work.

You are right, the cables are completely different. So in this particular case it may not work.
But I wonder how Mercedes does diagnostics with their equipment?

Super MB PRO M6 has special cables, but neither VCI C6 nor TabScan T6 Xentry have them. Both have only OBD2 cable. Therefore, neither C6 nor T6 can be used for HHT.

Yes, but buy the complete kit, including the complete cable set as you wrote above, and everything will be fine, both with old and all new cars.

What you write here is fake, my friend. Many Chinese sellers write the same thing! See my post about the whole fakes topic.

VCI C6 (model 1, first fake), fake Openport emulator that emulates VCI C6 for Xentry, but it is not real, works with failures, worked until 2023, Xentry 2024 does not work.
VCI C6 (model 2, second fake), eCOM in VCI C6 case, I have the original so I know. It does not work with newer Xentry, meaning it never worked with Xentry because it has a fake serial number, which is still not solved. It works with Vediamo and DTS Monaco, but cannot read data from many newer vehicles with DOIP. What you are spreading here is a complete fake. Or post a video so we can all see it. Also, it can't diagnose cars with DAS or HHT.

Or do you usually try to sell something that doesn't work to ignorant people in private messages and then show a link to your sales page?

As for the MB PRO M6, this is a project that appeared back in 2007. At that time, round connectors were too expensive, as were special aluminum cases. The project must be somewhere, it was a long time ago. As far as I remember, it is exactly the same electronics as the C4, but with Centronic connectors. It was later also released with cheaper connectors. There's not much difference here, but there's nothing special compared to the C4 either, except that the M6 doesn't have an SDScan port for an SD card.

What device would you recommend as a good working one?

You haven't tried working with HHT because HHT doesn't work either. M6 has no advantages over C4, it's even worse, so it's a bit cheaper.

But well, you just take a good C4 and buy the commercial version of Xentry here and you can work on HHT, DAS, Xentry and DOIP vehicles.
