Sometimes when i start the car it runs normally and accelerates well etc.

it doesnt accelerate like it use to do. It feels like the supercharger is not giving any boost; i still can rev up to max rpm, so its not in limp mode i assume.
But, if i turn my ignition to position 2, wait for awhile, then back to 1 and then 2 and wait for a bit before starting my car, like 95% of time, the supercharger starts normally and i have no problems at all. Tips where i start looking for?

Hi mate i had a similar problem a few years back.

It sounds like you may be experiencing an issue with the supercharger system on your Mercedes C180K. Here are a few possible areas to investigate:

  1. Supercharger Belt and Pulleys: Check the condition of the supercharger belt for any signs of wear or damage. Also, inspect the pulleys for proper alignment and ensure they are not damaged or misaligned, as this could affect the performance of the supercharger.
  2. Supercharger System Components: Inspect the supercharger system components, including the intercooler, bypass valve, and associated hoses, for any leaks, cracks, or loose connections. Any air leaks in the supercharger system can affect its performance.
  3. Supercharger Oil Level and Condition: Make sure the supercharger oil level is adequate and that the oil is clean and free of contaminants. Low or dirty supercharger oil can impact the efficiency and performance of the supercharger.
  4. Supercharger Control System: The supercharger system may be controlled by a dedicated electronic control unit (ECU) or integrated into the engine control unit (ECU). Check for any fault codes stored in the ECU related to the supercharger system. A diagnostic scan tool can help retrieve these codes.
  5. Throttle Body and Accelerator Pedal: Issues with the throttle body or accelerator pedal sensor could also cause acceleration problems. Ensure that these components are functioning properly and are free of any obstructions.
  6. Fuel System: A problem with the fuel system, such as a clogged fuel filter or failing fuel pump, could also affect engine performance. Consider inspecting and possibly servicing or replacing these components if necessary.

If you're unable to identify the issue yourself, it's advisable to consult with a qualified mechanic or Mercedes-Benz specialist who can diagnose the problem accurately using diagnostic equipment and provide the necessary repairs or adjustments.

Hope this Helps!

At that time with an acquaintance with an Opel Zafira diesel, it was due to an AGR valve, so I can still remember well that he always turned off the ignition & then turned it on again, then everything was normal. He cleaned the component, and the problem was gone.

With my W218 CLS 350 CDI it was due to the differential pressure sensor & DPF, engine gearbox went into emergency mode.

maybe my problem is MAF sensor?

How many miles are on your car and when were your plugs changed last? Often times when cars feel underpowered it can be due to spark plugs. Does the car have issues starting sometimes?

connect a scanner and do a log, so you can see if it really is the supercharger not boosting or any other problem
