Hi,

Does anybody have been similar problems. I have GLK 350 Cdi 4Matic and problem is that when I accelerate more aggressive then the transmission shift down like it should but then the gear stays on the 4th gear and don't shift up even I release the pedal little bit. The rpm is high and speed comes to over 120 km/h or more still the 4th gear remain in same position. But when I accelerate evenly then the transmission shifting up nicely up to 7th gear. There are not comes any fault code. I have replaced CPV valve and cleaned air mass meters by airmass cleaning spray and before that turbocharger is replaced and transmission oils are changed. Now I drove my car the service to local MB dealer and they tried figure out the reason. They told me that there is cracks in inside DPF is cracked because there is soot on the outlet on the DPF filter surface and end of the exhaust pipe as well.

Could this "faulted" DPF cause gear up shifting problems on that time when there is a high gas stream volume?

May lead to power limitation but there will be DPF errors. See data in in VGS.

Here are some photos outlet of DPF...

DPF looks nice, looks like transmission valve body or ETC unit is not ok.

Hi, thanks for your comments!

That is strange that there is not come out any fault codes? Local MB dealers don't know how to do anything or don't have the knowledge to do anything without existing trouble codes.

Only thing is that they just recommend to replace the first part and if that doesn't help then another...etc.

In that way it will be cost a fortune.

Hi, I have just short time ago manage to install Xentry PT but I'm not so familiar with that yet. I will try, thanks your comments!

Did you try adaptation gears with Xentry, it can help... Use Xentry to make adaptation of Torque and Gears shifting...

Hi,
I think the local MB dealer did an adaptation on the gearbox before I replaced the PCV valve and cleaned the mass air sensors. But at that time it didn't help/solve the problems. I think after replacing the PCV and cleaning the mass air sensors the shifting came out a lot better than before but only when accelerating steadily but if I accelerate fast then the gear stays in 4th gear.

After the last service at the local MB dealer they did a forced regeneration but didn't mention it but I checked with Xentry that it has happened. The fuel filter was also changed according to the maintenance chart. At home I read the maintenance story and it said (these pictures were also taken from the DPF) that the car feels weak and there is some blowing from the exhaust pipe. Later I checked the charge air pipe connection. there was a broken green O-ring.wtf!
> They sent a new one and I replaced it myself.

I have checked/tested the differential pressure sensor and I think it is OK. I haven't driven that car in a while because I've been looking for the best deal from orig. DPF pipe. I need to do more testing before buying a new DPF.

Understand... Is DPF Sensor BOSCH?

The state of the DPF can be assessed by the readings of the differential sensor. Normal... 4-6 hPa idling and 0 hPa IGN ON
Connect your diagnostics, take it for a test drive and perform a short test before turning off the ignition. Then you may see fault codes.
