Actions before requesting a rebuild:

1. Scan your vehicle for active codes.
2. Delete the errors and rescan.
3. If the transmission fault code is active, check the oil level (recommended oil change every 40,000 miles). Red oil before 2010, blue oil after.
4. If the oil level is normal and the error is active, drain the oil and remove the pan, inspect it for scratches and check the 2 magnets on the pan for metal.
5. If there is metal, clutch debris or bad oil in the transmission, a complete rebuild may be required (this is a very reliable transmission that lasts up to 300,000 miles).
6. Remove the valve body (pay attention to the connecting plate and the shift pin), mark the position of the solenoids and install them in the same place, they are connected to the valve body (calibrated at the factory).
7. Clean the solenoid screen with a small magnet.
8. Open and clean the valve body, 14 metal balls = 2 rubber balls, check whether the one-way valves can open and close easily.
9. Take 2 photos of the stamped code on the valve body and the black plate code on the ECU, you will need it for programming. Good luck.
