Mitsubishi MUT3 with J2534

What is the best J2534 interface to use for Mitsubishi with MUT3? I have an Openport Tactrix. It seems to only work with some kind of paid bridge driver. Since I will most likely only scan one Mitsubishi car, I don't want to buy some special interface just for Mitsubishi.
Will Scanmatik work, for example? Or maybe all devices need to use a bridge driver? If so, why does MUT3 have information about supporting Passthru J2534?
I have a Delphi eCOM, it used to work on this computer but now none of the firmware/software versions are recognized.

Just be careful when buying a driver, some of them are poorly cr@cked versions and will crash when trying to scan certain modules etc. If you search for MUT3 on eBay you will find a much more stable driver that is not a cr@cked version.
