Special Codings for A/CLA/B/GLB! (PDF)

Under this topic I am sharing codings for Mercedes with chassis code W177 that are not easily found on the Internet for everyone's benefit. Some of these codings I found with my intensive searches on the Internet and some of them I found with my own experiments that lasted for weeks.

I will also share below which Software I used and which adapter I coded with.

Software: DTS Monaco 8.14.016
Adapter: China Openport 2.0 (bought from AliExpress)

My car:
W177 A200 AMG line
Advanced MBUX
Distronic Plus

Also with DTS Monaco 9 unfortunately the codings did not work properly, so I recommend DTS Monaco 8.14 to everyone.

Codings included in the PDF:

These codings should also work fine with the Mercedes CLA GLA B GLB. Maybe these codes will also work on some Mercedes Models that work with NTG6.

How to unlock Modules and save coding:

Go to Diagnostic Services Tab.
We will need to open Firewall on EZS167 first.
Scroll down to "EZS167" and click on the "+" to show list.
Scroll down to "Generic Jobs" and click on "+".
Click on "Security Access Level 3B" and then on TRANSMIT button.
You should see Status success at the very bottom.

Before we start coding the HU6, we need to get the HU6 to "Extended Session":
To do so, scroll further downwards and locate HU6.
Click on the "+" Next to HU6 to show list.
Scroll down to "Session" and click on "+" to to show list.
Click on "Start Extended Session" and then TRANSMIT button.

Now, you can switch TAB to "Variant Coding" and perform some coding.
After you are done with coding, we will need to save it.

To save it.
Go back to TAB "Diagnostic Services".
Scroll down and locate HU6.
Locate "Asynchronous Routine" and click on the "+" to show list.
Find in this big list "31 01 Synchronize to Non-volatile Memory Start" click it and then click on TRANSMIT button.

Scroll more downwards in the "Asynchronous Routine".
Locate this "31 01 Synchronize to Non-volatile Memory Result" click it and then click on TRANSMIT button.

We are done, and we need to do ECU HARD RESET.
Scroll downwards in the HU6 LIST.
Locate "ECU" and click the "+".
Click on "HARD RESET" and then TRANSMIT Button.

Works without problems with FUP4.
Web browsing and video streaming while driving works fine on FUP4.
You can update the software to FUP4 and try again. Or redo the coding, maybe it is also compatible with FUP3.

I'm adding my trick. This way you can attach a block from disassembly.
"Bondenden EKS" coding in different units means choosing a car from the production line!
That is, if the error "incorrect variant coding, perform commissioning or it has not been produced yet" is displayed, you need to perform coding. This change is possible only after unlocking the unit.
By default or after a hard reset or ignition restart it is locked (gesperret).
These can be a variety of units, for example, the SAM (CBC), N62/1 (DMRF_222) and others.

Just in case, disable the firewall in the lock (3B).
Go the unit, unlock if there is a standard. "Djeneral Job".
No access to the security system, no keys required!
After that go to download or saved data find the process "Bonden EKS Start".
Change rights gesperret (blocked) to freigaben (free). Transmit.
After that, accept the change in the coding of the "Bandenden EKS" parameter.
Hard reset!

Installing LED headlights instead of Bi-Xenon ones using the example of WDD117 (2016).

To connect LED headlights with Chinese units instead of Bi-Xenon you will need the following.
On BOTH headlight connectors, remove the wire from pin 11 and insert it into pin 4.
From pin 1 (on BOTH), run one wire to unit N71/1 (at the passenger's feet) and connect to CAN E2 Low (BU) on connector N71/1.
There is no need to pull the second wire to CAN H, use the wire LIN (ORBK) pin 2 on the connectors, screw them to CAN H (BUWH).
Without CAN the headlights will not work! And be sure to set the country coding, enter USA or Canada in SAM (CBC or CBC_BOLERO).
Additionally, stretch three wires of the rear body level sensor to the left headlight pins 11, 13, 14 (according to the diagram). Connect to connector N71/1 (on the right at the feet behind the fan).
Disable Bi-Xenon in CBC_BOLERO or bulb control, N71/1 unit is no longer needed.
Replace 5A fuse with 15A fuse F58 F229.

When it starts to rain, close the windows completely rather than leaving them open 50mm.

Supplement to Bi-Xenon code 614 615 618 (LED 631 632).
Additionally extend the power supply from F58 F209 15A (30) to pin 9 on the left and F203 (30) on the right. Otherwise, the parking lights and emergency lights on the headlights will not work without the ignition on.
Run a total of 5 wires to the left headlight (three for the sensor, one for power (pin 9) and CAN L), two to the right headlight (power (pin 9) and CAN L).
