I'd be very interested to hear about the optional snow driving mode and whether it makes a difference (C118 CLA here). I'm keeping an eye on this thread.

I don't understand the question, why don't you just unlock it? This is an additional driving program that offers no restrictions, only added value! But to answer your question - the "snow" mode changes the CAN line of the ESP, engine and transmission. Everything is designed with slippery conditions in mind to ensure vehicle stability.

Snow mode, also known as Slippery mode, likely adjusts traction control, transmission and torque distribution to optimize handling on slippery roads.
