W251 R-Class EGR Issues

Thanks for the info. I also sent the diagram.
Can anyone explain to me what the 0.5 means on these wiring diagrams?
I assume that is the expected resistance.
What is the best way to disconnect the ECU? I think the battery in the R-Class is under the driver's seat.
Is removing the 105 fuse a trick to safely disconnect the connector from the ECU?
Not sure if this number will be inside the connector or outside.
The plan is to check the continuity and resistance of the circuit starting at number 5.

0.5 is the wire size.
You should be able to disconnect the ECU without cutting power to it, but it's safer to do what you mentioned. Either remove the fuse or disconnect the negative battery terminal.
The pin numbers will most likely be written on the inside of the connector.

A friend with a tuner fixed it. The cost here in Norway is about 250 euros.

If you have a DC multimeter, can you measure all the voltages on the 5-pin pin relative to ground with the ignition on and the plug removed?
1-? 2-? 3-? 4-? 5-?

Everything is measured, all voltages are OK.
Ignition is on.
Need to measure resistance now. Maybe tomorrow.

Yes, the pin numbers are written inside the EGR, but they match the order in the diagram.

I checked all resistances on the EGR. Resistance seems to be ok and stable, also tried fiddling with the cable during the test, no change.

Pin 5 - 4.142V / 0.4 Ohm / ECU pin 18
Pin 4 - 7.8mV
Pin 3 - 5V / 0.4 Ohm / ECU pin 56
Pin 2 - 11.84V / 0.4 Ohm / ECU pin 72
Pin 1 - 32mV / 0.4 Ohm / ECU pin 96

Is this the voltage at the connector when the connector is plugged in and the ignition is on?

Correct ignition checked with battery grounded on left side of engine.
Resistance check with ECU off, fuse 105 removed so I think wiring to ECU from EGR is fine.

Sorry, the connector is not connected to the EGR. Should I check it by connecting it and connecting some kind of probe to the back of the connector?
