This is my first post on this forum. Let me start with an introduction: I have a Renault Zoe from 2018, and I have a problem I'm so glad I came across this forum and grateful to meet you all here!
What do I want to do?
I would like to download the CLIP software, connect to the car and use CLIP to reset the coolant pump wear counter.
Why do I want to do this?
My car dashboard keeps displaying an orange "check electric system" warning. The battery warning light and the spanner warning light are also on. My cruise control doesn’t work anymore. The constant warning lights and lack of cruise control are very annoying and I think I'm close to a solution.
I found one way to remove this warning for a couple of seconds: reset the EVC related trouble code using the CanZE app on an Android phone using the CanSee dongle. The DTC is DTC0463F1 (P063F1). After a few seconds, the DTC appears again and the warning lights on the dashboard light up again.
I found that this DTC is related to the coolant pump and that you can get rid of this DTC by performing "Reset coolant pump control wear counter while driving" (if the translation is correct) using CLIP. I plan to use CLIP with Openport J2534 dongle.
Now my question:
Does anyone have experience with CLIP that can tell me how to find in CLIP where to perform this reset? I would be glad to get your help in performing this reset using CLIP!
