Star C3 with XENTRY 2023

Has anyone had luck running a newer version of Xentry and connecting a C3 mulitiplexer with rs232 to usb adapter? I am not sure if there is a way to configure it to work correctly. I have found info on making this work with older laptops and windows XP however I would like to run it on a modern system with windows 10. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Can you tell what is the point with C3 and Xentry 2023? I thought 2014.09 is the latest software for this multiplexer.

First I would try to connect it thru USB adapter to older software, I am not sure if this combo will work out.
I got some bad experience with adapters - so first you need working one.

And also you have to play with com port speeds to get adapter working right.

There is really nowhere to set up anything for the C3, only C4 that I can find. I think you are probably correct about the year of the software. I just need to try and find an older version of Xentry which I am having difficulty doing.

I have a couple different adapters so one of them should work. The FTDI adapters work well with most devices, however I think I will need an older version of Xentry.

For what cars you are planning to use this? Model years?

Well currently 2003 - 2006. I am not sure the exact year range of the C3 but I believe it will work up to at least 2010?

Best version for those year is 10.2008. Also you can do dual boot windows with 07.2014 version. That is what I run before I upgraded to C4. At least my C3 did work with my X218 cls 2013.
