Star C3 with XENTRY 2023

Has anyone managed to get a newer version of Xentry running and connected a C3 multiplexer with a USB RS232 adapter? I'm not sure if there is a way to configure it so that it works properly. I found information that it works on old laptops and Windows XP, but I would like to run it on a modern Windows 10 system. Any suggestions are welcome.

Can you tell me what is the point of C3 and Xentry 2023? I thought 2014.09 was the last firmware for this multiplexer.

I would try connecting it via USB adapter to the old software first, but I'm not sure if that combination will work.
I've had some bad experiences with adapters, so you'll need a working one to start with.

You will also have to play with the COM port speed to get the adapter to work properly.

There is actually nothing configurable for C3, I can only find C4. I think you are right about the year the software was released. I just need to try to find an older version of Xentry but I'm having trouble doing so.

I have several different adapters, so one of them should work. The FTDI adapters work fine with most devices, however I think I'll need an older version of Xentry.

For what cars you are planning to use this? Model years?

Well, at the moment it's 2003-2006. I'm not sure of the exact range of years, but I'm guessing the C3 will run fine until at least 2010.

The best version for those years is 2008. You can also dual boot Windows with version 2014. This is what I used before upgrading to C4. At least my C3 worked with my X218 CLS 2013.
