I need a J2534 interface that supports XENTRY PassThru reasonably well, within a £20-£50 budget.
So far my search/recommendations have led me to the Tactrix Openport 2.0 interface (original price £180). However, I'm initially interested in trying out more budget alternatives.
The car is a 2009 W207 E350.

Kroticker, can you tell me what bad experience you had with VAS?
I use VAS 5054A from time to time. So far I can't complain.

Almost all online operations were declined due to communication error on ORIGINAL XPT.
We sent logs to official support twice. We were told to change the device.

Kroticker, are the drivers connected correctly?

I think I got it working from the first install. Testing the device via SftngCM took about 50 seconds. I was fine. The main thing is that everything worked.

For the second installation I used these drivers.

Lo and behold, testing devices via SftngCM now takes 4 seconds.

I even did a Kurztest via Bluetooth and it worked without any disconnections.
When I first installed it, Bluetooth was very unstable.
The only explanation I can think of is that either your dongle was faulty. Or the drivers were not connected correctly.
But thanks for the information.

I didn't say the diagnostic didn't work. It was fine.
But we couldn't do online SCN and programming, it was always rejected.

I bought a Tactrix Openport 2.0 clone on AliExpress for less than $20. Can't wait to test it once I download the software from here.

I bought a similar one from a Chinese seller with Openport 2.0 as a clone of J2534. There are different manufacturers. One worked for me but was blocked in Xentry 12.2023 software. Worked fine in my latest 06.2023 software. Another one did not work at all. I did not find a solution for it, as I can use it with other software than Xentry.

I use Scanmatik 2 PRO and Openport 2.0 clone, they work well. But Scanmatik 2 PRO is so expensive.

What can I do with Scanmatik 2, is coding and full access possible or is it limited compared to for example C4 DOIP?

I have an Openport clone and I use it with W211 and W164. Everything works except SBC.

We are not rich enough to buy cheap things. The original is, first of all, the possibility of updating and technical support.
My vote is for Scanmatik 2 PRO.
