Hi! :)

I recently ordered a Chinese clone Tactrix Openport 2.0 with intensions of using it on a 2006 modell W211 Mercedes Benz E350 imported from Japan.

I`ll appericiate it if someone with experience could point to the best software for my car?
I have read that Xentry Pass Thru v23.09 supports this clone device but are not fimiliar with functions on each software such as Vediamo and Monaco.

Thinking of editing the max speed limit(210km/h) of my vehicle and be able to run diagnostics.

Thank you in advance! :)

Best Regards

Who has tried vediamo 5?

With the proper software installation skills, version 23.9 is all your tasks. But only if the connection is via CAN. I have a ready solution for this.

Xentry Passthru is designed to be used by your everyday tech to conduct diagnostics and perform various maintenance tasks such as keeping the trans at a specific temperature during fluid change operations.

Vediamo and Monaco, on the other hand, are built for engineering purposes and allow the operator much deeper access to the vehicles computers for things such as reading/writing and flashing modules.

For general diagnostics purposes, use Xentry passthru as it has safeguards in place that prevents you from accidentally breaking things. Vediamo and DTS Monaco have no barriers and you’re free to do whatever you please, even if it will cause catastrophic failure afterwards.

With your car being CBF based, I’d recommend using Vediamo over DTS. For your goal of removing the VMAX, or the speed ‘governor, you’ll be using Vediamo. I’d recommend looking for a guide and following it very precisely, because as I mentioned earlier, there are no restrictions within Vediamo.

As far as I remember the Vediamo files, it is not a problem to make version 5 for passthru devices.
About 3 or 4 years ago I did this for someone, but I do not remember for whom exactly and these files were lost with my old NAS.
