Best J2534 Interface/Clone

I need a J2534 interface that supports XENTRY PassThru reasonably well, within a £20-£50 budget.
So far my search/recommendations have led me to the Tactrix Openport 2.0 interface (original price £180). However, I'm initially interested in trying out more budget alternatives.
The car is a 2009 W207 E350.

Definitely buy the real Scanmatik 2 PRO if you can. I've had it for a little less than half a year now and I'm very happy with it. Lots of different software for this device.
Highly recommended.

Yes of course, even in case of Chinese clone, just choose the right Scanmatik Passthru driver and you are ready to work with Xentry, in fact, SM2Pro is the only device that reads 50 modules in Xentry.

Which driver do you think is the correct one?
I bought a clone 2.21.22 and luckily the included DVD was unreadable. Otherwise, I could have installed the driver the seller sent me a link to when I asked for it, which was infected with a trojan virus. After some research, I found information about using the original Scanmatik driver in the correct version for my hardware, and also advice to never try to update the driver or firmware to a newer version. The original driver 2.21.22 allowed the system to recognize the interface as a Scanmatik device in the device manager.

Anything you do when it comes to this should be done on a virtual machine or laptop you don't care about. Most of this pirated stuff is infected. My setup laptop is on a separate network with IDS/IPS enabled, and I can see malicious traffic trying to contact the command and control server.

Maybe you, like me, didn't know about it a few days ago. Another nice and easy-to-provide playground is Windows Sandbox (a sort of one-click Windows virtual machine as an app).
